How to understand Our Image, Value, and Identity

Image: Understanding our image.

In Genesis 1:26-28, NKJV, The Word of God says, 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

Genesis 2:7, NKJV: says, 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

Genesis 5:1, NKJV says, In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.

Romans 8:29, NKJV, Declares, 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be The Firstborn among many brethren.

1 Corinthians 15:49, says, 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

2 Corinthians 3:18, NKJV, says, 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by The Spirit of The Lord.

Galatians 3:28, NKJV, Clarifies, 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:10, NKJV, Reveals, For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for Good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4:24, NKJV, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

Colossians 1:15, NKJV, Affirms He is the image of The Invisible God, The First Born over all creation.

Colossians 3:10, NKJV, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Hebrews 1:3, NKJV, Declares Jesus, 3 who being the brightness of His glory and The Express Image of His person, and upholding all things by The Word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

James 3:9, NKJV, says, With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.

You have probably heard, just be yourself a thousand times.

This is a very true statement as long as it's the self that has died to you, so the real you can live.

It's the miracle of God that there's more than 7.5 billion people in the world and not even one of them are the same. Not even identical twins.

We're called, created, and uniquely made in the image of God

and

Even though the way is narrow,

He loves us all

and

The Holy Spirit of God waits for the restored children of God to speak The Word,

So others will hear the call of Christ crucified on the Cross of Calvary

To become a New Creation who's born again

and

Sanctified by the conviction of The Holy Spirit of God

and

His loving mercy and grace

As we choose to lead others to Christ Jesus,

So they can run their race free from condemnation

and

The crushing weight of self and sin.

Knowing Your Value

Psalm 111:9, NKJV, Declares, 9 He has sent redemption to His people; He has commanded His covenant forever: Holy and awesome is His name.

Isaiah 52:3, NKJV, 3 For thus says the Lord: “You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money.

Isaiah 53:4-5, NKJV, Reveals, 4 Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;

Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.

In Mark 10:45, NKJV, Jesus says, 45 For even The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

John 3:16, NKJV, says, 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 3:24-26, NKJV, says, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,

25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed,

26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Romans 5:8, NKJV, says, 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:18, NKJV, says, 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

1 Corinthians 1:30, NKJV, Says, 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

1 Corinthians 6:20, NKJV, Declares, 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 7:23, NKJV, Expresses once again, 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.

In Galatians 1:3-5, NKJV, Paul says, 3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Galatians 3:13-14, NKJV, Establishes, 13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of The Spirit through faith.

Ephesians 1:7, NKJV, Explains, 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.

Titus 2:11-14, NKJV, says, 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,

13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,

14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for Good works.

1 John 3:16, NKJV, Proclaims, 16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.

And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

By understanding that God paid the priceless price of His Son, Jesus Christ,

To redeem and restore His sons and daughters back into relationship with Him.

We're able to see and know God not only thinks we're priceless, He knows we're priceless!

We can be certain of this because we know that no one pays that high of a price for something that's worth nothing.

We know that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it and because of this,

This is the method we've always used to determine the value of something.

Someone might even be willing to pay a little bit more for something than it's worth.

But, at the end of the day, most people would prefer to pay less.

By paying less, we feel like we've received a good deal.

But, when our Heavenly Father set the value on us, He did no such thing.

He Paid the Ultimate Price and Set the Price as Priceless for Eternity.

By understanding and knowing

Our value comes from the priceless price Jesus Christ paid on the cross

To redeem you back into relationship with The Father

and

Restore that which was lost.

You'll be able to not only see you're priceless and created in the very image of God.

But, it's by this same standard you're able to know with absolute certainty

That every person you'll ever meet has the same eternal value set by The Father.

One price, One time, For all mankind.

|| Priceless ||

Walking In Your New Identity

When we know who Christ is in us,
We will begin to understand what He attained for us.

Only then, will we see who we are in Him

and

Our true identity to become who were called to be.

Let's take a moment to reflect on our New Identity!

John 3:16, = Worth dying for.

Romans 5:8, 1 John 4:9-10, 1 John 4:19, = Unconditionally loved by God.

Romans 5:19, = Made righteous.

Romans 6:17, = You have been delivered.

Galatians 5:1, = Liberated.

Romans 6:22, = Set free.

1 Corinthians 6:11, = You are a New Creation.

Ephesians 2:10, = We are the workmanship of God.

Romans 5:1, Romans 5:9, = We have been Justified.

Galatians 3:26, = Sons of God.

John 1:12, 1 John 3:1-2, = Children of God.

Romans 8:1, = No longer condemned.

1 Corinthians 6:19, = Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:17, = You are joined to the Lord in One Spirit.

Galatians 2:20, = Christ lives in you.

John 10:27-30, Romans 8:38-39, = We have eternal security.

Galatians 3:29, = Heirs, Abraham's seed, through Christ.

Galatians 3:29, Supports Deuteronomy 7:6, and Deuteronomy 14:1-2, = You are a Holy people, Chosen, and His special treasure.

1 Peter 2:9, = You are a royal priesthood, chosen, Holy, and special to God.

Ephesians 1:3-6, = You are predestined, chosen, blessed, adopted , and accepted.

John 15:16-19, = You are chosen, set apart, appointed and not of this world.

Isaiah 43:4, = You are precious to God.

1 Corinthians 12:27, = You are the body of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:20, = We are ambassadors for Christ.

Romans 8:37, = More that conquerors.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22, = You are established, anointed and sealed.

Colossians 2:9-10, = Complete in Christ.

Your identity in Christ could be viewed as the sum total of the image that was lost and the price that was paid to get it back.

Image + Value = Identity

Jesus Christ died and rose to restore the Image, Value, and Identity of the Children of God.

Understanding who we are in Christ and becoming everything Jesus paid to restore leads to freedom from self and sin.

Remember, Jesus didn't say deny the devil, pick up your cross and follow Me.

He said deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Me.

This is found in Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34, and Luke 9:23.

Typically, the problem isn't Satan, It's Self.

Although, it's very important to know

That we can become an easy target for the enemy,

If we look like Jesus and talk like Jesus

But, we personally don't know Jesus.

If we know who He is but, we don't personally know Him. That is, who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us. Then we open ourselves up to become self-focused or even worse, we give the enemy a foot hold to find fault and question who we are in Christ.

If this isn't handled properly, it could eventually shift our focus to our failures or even worse cause us to question our faith.

This is why walking in your New Identity Daily is paramount to living a life worthy of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Then, because we are living from this understanding and His perspective

We're able to fulfill the first Great Commandment and the second,

Which is much like the first and ultimately,

We will find ourselves living The Great Commission

In our daily lives as a result of fulfilling The First Commandment.

When we recognize the importance of our Image, Value, and Identity

In a practical and applicable way.

We will see The Will of God in seed form at work in our daily lives.

By simply understanding.

Your thoughts are seeds that create actions and

Your actions are seeds that crate habits and

Your habits are seeds that create character and

Your character ultimately creates who you become.

This is why it is vitally important to know who You are in Christ
and
Who Christ is in You.

Please keep in mind that all P.O.R.'s, Ice breakers,

and

Additional advanced P.O.R.'s given,

Should be applied in a natural

and

Normal way from your relationship with Jesus.

In other words, Be Yourself!

Because no one can replace the personal relationship you have with Jesus.

This information is meant to be a guide line to tie into your own personality and relationship with Jesus Christ. It's merely meant to highlight, encourage, and provoke thought about the various ways and situations The unfailing Word of God applies to our lives.

How to Apply THE GOOD NEWS in real life

So, let's say you're given a playbook for a football or basketball game. Then you listen to the coach go over and over the material in it. But, all you do is listen, read, and memorize it. What will you do on game day seeing you have never held a football or basketball? You've never ran any practice drills. You haven't even played a scrimmage game. But hey, you've listened to the coach, read the playbook, memorized some plays, bought a pair of $100.00 shoes to match your uniform. You look like a football or basketball player. You even sound like one. The fact is, without applying the information to real life, you'll only reach a certain point. OK, let's say instead of a playbook, you're given a manual to learn Martial Arts. But, all you do is read the manual and listen to someone verbally teach it. How do you think your first match or tournament will go? How will you respond when you are physically attacked? To become someone who is skilled at...

Created to Love and Called to Share

Opening Statement The information that's being given to you is presented in love to equip you, not to condemn you. For we know there's now no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  Romans 8:1 . If we become convicted, this is a good thing, because it's the love of our Heavenly Father  calling us to another level in our relationship with Him. The Word of God In 2 Peter 1:12-13, NLT, says, 12 Therefore, I will always remind you about these things—even though you already know them and are standing firm in the truth you have been taught.   13 And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live. Reminding you what? 2 Peter 1:1-11, NLT , 1 This letter is from Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ. I am writing to you who share the same precious faith we have. This faith was given to you because of the justice and fairness of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. 2 May God give you more and more grace and peace as you g...

Pure Motives, Love, & The Good News of Jesus Christ

In Philippians 1:15-18, we see some people share The Good News with pure motives and others from selfish ambition, jealousy, and with no sincerity. But, Paul still rejoiced because, The Good News was still being shared. The reality Paul was faced with is the same reality we're faced with today. Since there are so few set free and willing to walk in love rightly. He rejoiced in the fact that Something is better than nothing! Ultimately, we know we should have pure motives and love others with no agenda because this is the example Jesus set. In order for others to truly experience the love of Christ through us, We must represent Him well by setting our selfish motives and agenda's aside. In this way, people will see that you genuinely love and care about them. We must arrive at the place in our walk with Jesus that we fully understand this simple gesture. “ We will do a lot for love” What does this mean? Here's an Example: If my wife decided that I don't...

But I will continue on for those who can set their earth suits aside and hear with the right ear. As you move forward you just might step into a level of freedom you have never known before. If you're still with me then lets begin.. Did you know that only 95% of all CHRISTIANS live their entire LIFE as a Christian Without ever leading even o...

The Basics of Sharing The GOOD NEWS and Gospel of Jesus Christ

When sharing The Good News,  we don't always have to come up with a different way to share it with different people. The Good News is Powerful, Unchanging, and True every time we share it and each person we share it with may have never heard the Powerful, Unchanging, Truth of The Good News we're sharing. The goal is to share The Good News with each person like it's the first time, Even though you may have spoken the same Words thousands of times. Keep in mind that your way of presenting The Good News will grow over time. There will be many Building Blocks that will be added to your Foundation. But, the most important One is The Cornerstone, Jesus Christ. We must first build this Foundation and everything else will happen over time. The point is to get the, I'm only human, Nobody's perfect, and I'm not Jesus excuse Or Anything similar to this excuse out of the way. So we can get out of the way. And, Let The Way, Jesus Christ Himself show us the way, so we can show others The Way. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, NLT, says this, 2 When I first came to you, dear brothers and sisters, I didn’t use lofty words and impressive wisdom to tell you God’s secret plan. 2 For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, The One who was crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. 4 And my message and my preaching were very plain.
