Romans 10:14-15, NLT, says,
14 But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him?
And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him?
And how can they hear about Him unless someone tells them?
15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent?
That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring Good News!”
Remember, It is easier to be confident and trust God when we know He's The One who qualifies us.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6, NLT, says, 5 It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 6 He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of The Spirit. The Old written covenant ends in death; but under the New covenant, The Spirit gives life.
In Luke 8:39, NLT, Jesus told the man He freed from demons to go home. Saying, 39 “No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him.
This is also found in Mark 5:19-20. Mark 5:20, NKJV, says, 20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
Decapolis, means Ten cities. So, when Jesus set this man free. We see he went all around the region to these 10 towns, telling everyone everything the Lord had done for him and about His compassion and mercy.
Shouldn't this be our eternal response for what Jesus attained and restored for us?
In Matthew 10:32-33, NLT Jesus says, 32 “Everyone who acknowledges Me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. 33 But everyone who denies Me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.
In Luke 12:8-9, NLT, Jesus adds to this teaching by saying, 8 “I tell you the truth, everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, the Son of Man will also acknowledge in the presence of God’s angels. 9 But anyone who denies me here on earth will be denied before God’s angels.
Someone might wonder why does Matthew
10 say, “before my
Father” and Luke 12
says “in the presence of God's
angels?”
Both
Truths in Matthew
10 and Luke
12 are
confirmed in Revelation
3:5, NKJV,
Where The Word of God says, 5
He
who overcomes
shall be clothed in
white garments, and I will not
blot out his name
from The
Book of Life; but
I
will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
2
Timothy 1:8,
NLT, says, 8
So
never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord.
And
don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for
Him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for
the sake of The
Good News.
In this life we will never know all things.
But, we should always be ready to give an account for something.
And, that something is our faith and hope in Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:15-16, NLT, Gives us this instruction and tells us to do this in a gentle and respectful way.
Then when people speak against us for doing good, our conscious will continue to be clear.
Deep down, we must be willing to walk in what we do know and be content with what we don't know at every level and stage in our lives.
Because our endurance in this life is directly held together by having great trust in God. And, we validate this trust by never letting what we don't know keep us from walking in what we do know.
Psalm 71:15, NLT, Says it this way, 15 I will tell everyone about your righteousness.
All day long I will proclaim your saving power, though I am not skilled with words.
Ultimately, we must trust God who seals all who believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ with The Holy Spirit. As Paul explains in Ephesians 1:13-14.
In addition, we must trust our Heavenly Father who knows all things
To send the fullness of The Holy Spirit who knows all things, to all who believe and faithfully ask.
In Philippians 1:27, NLT, The Word of God says, 27 Above all, you must live as citizens of Heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of The Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is The Good News.
Paul echo's this to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:11-14.
Basically, you have to ask yourself this question: Do I really believe The Good News is Good News?
Because if it's not Good News, it's going to be extremely burdensome trying to share Bad News!
Remember, 2 Corinthians 4:13, NLT, says, 13 But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, “I believed in God, so I spoke.
1 John 1:1-4, NLT, says, 1 We proclaim to you The One who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw Him with our own eyes and touched Him with our own hands. He is the Word of life.
2 This One who is Life Itself was revealed to us, and we have seen Him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that He is The One who is Eternal Life. He was with the Father, and then He was revealed to us.
3 We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4 We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.
The fact is, we declare and proclaim The Good News of Jesus Christ because it is Good News.
And,
We genuinely share The Good News with others, so they can share in the same Eternal joy,
Forgiveness, Fellowship, and Freedom that we Fully share in through Jesus Christ.
