Luke 23:34, In The Word of God, Jesus Says,
" Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do."
This is so POWERFUL on so many levels !
Isn't this how life is?
So many go around doing things without even knowing why. But on a deeper level. We might find that a life without Jesus, means a life without a TRUE relationship with our Heavenly Father. And this happens to be the case for many.
Now if that's you well hang in here because your life will shift dramatically by simply Clicking on the TAB that says Receiving Jesus ? But for now lets continue on.
If we take the same stance as Jesus on the cross in every situation then it will change our life and perspective from earthly to heavenly.
Here I will give a very simple explanation. Let me set the stage.
You get up in the morning. Have a wonderful shower. It's a beautiful day. The birds are singing. You take a moment to collect your thoughts. Spend some time in your normal routine and off you go.
While in your the car your favorite song starts playing on the radio. What a great day your having. Then out of the blue someone cuts you off. NO big deal you just brush it off. Nothing can ruin your day. Then someone else cuts you off. You collect yourself again. Then right as your back in tune. A third person cuts you off. Followed by another and another and so on until one of them finally steps on their brakes. Causing you problems. You get over in the other lane. But they move over and won't let you by. You get back in the other lane and this repeats.
For many people this simple example or something similar would set them back for a bit.
Some would make excuses for those being rude. Like maybe their just late or maybe their dealing with some major life changes and by doing this it makes it easier for them to forgive and move on.
But the TRUTH is this. In order to start living a free life with the heavenly perspective of Jesus one must follow His example.
Father forgive them for they do not know what they do.
If they knew the fullness of Who created them. The image they were created in. The value that God places on us. Our true purpose. Our true identity and really under stood The Great commandment. Which is to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Including the second which is much like the first. Which is to love your neighbor as you love your self. Then they would never do the things that they do. See love doesn't seek it's own. The fact is. Jesus could have easily said enough. Get me off this cross. These people are hard headed and will never get it. Their selfish and spiritually blind. They only serve themselves and there father the devil. I'm tired of this nonsense. Their not worth it. But He did no such thing. He simply said Father forgive them for they do not know what they do.
Might I encourage you to press in with your Heavenly Father to know Him more and the next time a situation presents it self no matter how big or small. Simply take the same stance as Jesus and see the priceless value of the person who is in front of you and renew your mind by taking a deep breath that God has given you. And repeat after me.
Father forgive them because they don't know what their doing. Help them to become closer to YOU just like you have helped me and please continue to Help me to always see others and this broken world through Your eyes. Amen.
I love this message and am looking forward to hearing more in the future.
